Thermal imaging is a non-invasive, non-destructive way of evaluating conditions below the surface. Because everything from faulty wiring to the presence of termites to mold to wet insulation affects the surrounding temperature, heat-sensitive photography can reveal these and other issues that just cannot be seen by the naked eye or with conventional or digital photography. We can provide thermal imaging reports where we document the hidden fault for corrective action or to prioritize repairs.
We implement the latest moisture detecting devices to help located and identify hidden moisture inside the house. Since moisture is the only factor to mold growth that can be controlled, a moisture intrusion inspection is the first step in identifying hidden mold problems. Our non-destructive moisture meters are able to identify a moisture problem up to 3″ behind a wall surface.
The special boroscope camera is used to help see in areas that would normally be inaccessible. The HVAC system ductwork is able to be better inspected due to the use of this camera. Other uses include; behind the walls (with a small hole drilled for access), behind appliances, on the sides & back of air handlers, under kitchen cabinets, etc.
The hygrometer is a helpful tool that we implement on our investigations to determine temperature, humidity (RH%) & the dew point of the interior of the house. Elevated humidity can cause surface mold and other microbial problems in a structure and should be kept between 30-55% to limit Mold Colony Growth.

" We had 3 different companies come out to take a look at what we had and give us a quote. A Plus Mold was one of them, they had the best value and they also didn't try to over sell us construction or anything that was not needed for our issue at hand. We really appreciated the honesty and the way they do business. William got us scheduled right away, Jennifer the Lab director called my wife and answered all her questions. The remediation and testing was all done quick and well. A Plus Mold Remediation was the only company that really cared about us" Andy R, Aledo TX

A: Sometimes, yes, but most of the time, no. Mold is a fungus that roots deeply into whatever material it’s growing on and reproduces by expelling spores into the air. These spores will end up in your upper respiratory system. That means that no matter how small the area of mold you can see is, it almost certainly spreads much further under the surface. If you just cut sheetrock or spray it with a chemical you have done NOTHING about the MILLIONS of toxic spores trapped in the structure.
If the area of mold you can see is smaller than 1 square foot, you may be able to safely clean it yourself.
A: Most of the time, the answer is yes! Depending on the levels of contamination and the toxicgenic nature of the colony it may or may not be safe to occupy the area during mold abatement. For example, if the mold colony is in a high-traffic area like a bathroom or a bedroom, you will not want to use the area until the mold remediation is complete and indoor air quality restored. This can be inconvenient, since the homeowner may need to temporarily sleep or home office in another room. However, in most cases, the homeowner can still live in their house during the abatement process.
A: How long mold remediation takes is entirely dependent on the extent of the damage and the contamination level of the indoor air. We have remediation projects where the mold has not spread very far at all, and the entire job is done in just a few hours . But we also have projects where the mold toxins affect several rooms, and even multiple floors in the home or business. Restoring more extensive damage like this can take a few days up to 2 weeks . Mold Infestations Will Not Get Better Over Time! It's Never "ok" to Ignore Mold!
A: No, Our patented process permeates and eradicates mold and toxins from fabric, carpeting, furnishings, and drywall without the need to remove or replace them if they are not damaged or compromised. If undamaged, the surface will simply need a good cleaning, vacuuming, or fresh coat of paint after our treatment.
We use the latest methods and only the best equipment such as the highest grade Industrial Air Purification Equipment on the market, with 99.99% efficiency at .3 microns. High efficiency filtration coupled with the correct UV dosage destroys mold spores, mycotoxins,VOC's and smaller bacteria and viruses in Fort Worth, Dallas and throughout North Texas.
